flora & fauna

i've been making dresses for st. vincent's wearable art benefit show, "discarded to divine" for the last three years.
here's 2008's creation, part of my animal collective series. it's titled "flora and fauna".
see it in person at the de Young museum on april 4.

why, yes...

that is a rat on a cat on a dog. i saw it with my own eyes.

then i showed it to urban artists mythos and zoso and they immediately returned to a gallery where they were about to start a live painting gig and created the grossly fantastic piece in this video:
