NO BIG DEAL
september's Jux was super special. i got to hang out with one of my all-time favorites, the great David Shrigley, while he made the clay letters in his portrait below. AND THEN i also did a cover story on the legendary Daniel Clowes, whose comics and movies i've loved for years. interviewing both of these dudes in one month was a dream. they were very gracious and cool as hell.

2012 is here, birds!
better wrap-up 2011.
i wrote lots of Jux features in 2011, with more coming in 2012. you should subscribe at once.
i painted many hecksagons. they'll be in a gallery show in SF later this month.
they are inspired by hex signs from Dutch folk art, in case you didn't know.
i also started this blog, SEE LISTEN, where we pair one song with one piece of art. it was mentioned on Lost at E Minor, where I also did some guest blogging last fall. Here's a sample post:

i was a guest artist for The Button Club <--click to see an interview i answered with pictures. Tanya Madoff made the fuzzy monster packaging.
Jeff and I were both invited to contribute art for this super cool zine, Midnight Snack.
aaand i continued to draw Free Crappy Portraits for strangers worldwide. i've done well over 200 of these crapsterpieces.
happy new year! we'll make it a good one.
p.s. this is my dream office.
it's actually an art installation i saw in Maine last summer.
